Let's build something for the people who will actually be there.
I work with festivals, academies, dance communities, retreats and community gatherings. Rather than dropping the same workshop into every room, I begin by reading the audience, the purpose of the event, the available time and the kind of participation the organizers want to make possible.

Ways we can work together
Bring an existing workshop
Choose from material I already teach — Latin Rhythms, Fusion Partner Dance, relational movement, accessibility tools, or a focused dance lab — and adapt it to the actual audience.
Build a workshop together
Start with your event's theme, participants, needs and constraints. We can design an experience that belongs to the space rather than feeling imported into it.
Interactive dance performance
A participatory performance that can read the energy of a crowd, invite people gently into movement, and let performance become a shared encounter.
Community facilitation
Movement experiences for spaces where gathering itself matters: festivals, theme camps, intergenerational events and community celebrations.
Different bodies, histories and levels of experience.

New dancers
Clear invitations, approachable vocabulary and enough structure that someone can participate without already knowing the culture of the room.

Seasoned dancers
More nuanced investigations of communication, musicality, adaptation, leading, following, switching and relational partner dance.

Elders & people with different mobility
Movement that begins with what is available, including seated movement, simplified information, props, no-touch exchange and other access tools.

Youth & families
Play, imagination, flow toys, plushies, music and participatory structures that welcome different ages without requiring everyone to move in the same way.
Places this practice has already travelled.

Examples include teaching and collaboration with the Salt Spring Island Latin Rhythms community, Dance Temple Gathering, Otherworld theme camps and Kin-Fusion, as well as Dance Circle — a summer ecstatic-dance series in the park designed with flow toys and space for kids and families.
The point of these examples is not to reproduce them exactly. They show range: I can teach inside someone else's structure, co-create a participatory experience, hold a community space, or develop something new around the people who will be present.
Rates follow the collaboration.
Rates can vary significantly depending on the purpose of the event, the scope of preparation, travel, the size and funding model of the organization, and whether the work is teaching, performance, facilitation or co-creation.
Let's create something together.
Send me the event, audience, rough timing and what you hope movement could do in the room.
